Maddi Leblanc is a stand up paddle boarding athlete and teacher from Niagara ON, CAN. Maddi is currently completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Waterloo ON, CAN in Environmental Studies. Her passions for SUP and the environment shine through in her everyday life and she encourages her peers to work hard and chase their dreams no matter what they may be.
It all started with the question “would you like to try my board?” that has forever changed Maddi’s life. She was introduced to paddle boarding in 2010 and has not looked back ever since.
In 2014 she created her SUP fundraiser ‘On Board’ to give back in honour of losing two friends to cancer in 2011. Her fundraiser has only expanded her horizons in the world of SUP by introducing her to the racing scene.
In 2016 Maddi began SUP racing in her local area with the Ontario SUP Series and continues to push her limits daily. Recently she had the honour to represent Team Canada at the ISA World SUP and Paddle Board Championships in China making a huge statement in her paddling career.
While finishing her studies at the University of Waterloo, Maddi also gives guest lectures and inspirational talks to others about following their passions and chasing their dreams. Learn more about Maddi and her work below!
